Do Not Forget Who You Are
Your actual identity is that you are eternal, full of bliss, and full of knowledge. Due to ignorance of your actual identity you are considering yourself to be your material body, which is temporary, full of ignorance, and full of misery. There is no need for you to unnecessarily punish yourself in this way. Come out of the illusion of bodily consciousness and come back to your original identity, which is eternal, full of bliss, and full of knowledge by fully surrendering yourself to Lord Sri Krishna and His representative, the bona fide spiritual master.Sankarshan Das Adhikari

Hare Krishna Srila Gurudev,Please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet.
All glories to you. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Dear Gurudev, I have three questions. It’ll be my great fortune if you’ll answer them. Thank you!
Question 1:
I have always seen how you are so attached, and really love Prabhupada so much. I also know that you have had limited in-person interactions with Prabhupada, but I see how fondly you remember those, and the excitement with which you speak about the letters exchanged with him.
I want to know how you developed such deep attachment and love for him? How could you take his instructions so deeply into your heart?
I am asking because I want to develop the same emotions, and surrender towards you, which I do not have.
Question 2:
Through my interactions in this world, I have understood that every relation is temporary. People come and leave. Although I like being with others, as soon as I become attached to someone, somehow or other I am separated from them. This has made me averse to bonding with others. Actually, one of the reasons that I’ve liked Krishna so much is because he’s permanent in my life. He has never left me.
Now in the spiritual dealings, the same confusion plagues me. Can bhakti be done alone or do we need association? I know we come together to serve, and it is beautiful, but then why do we chant alone? Then why do we come and leave this world alone, experience bodily pain alone, with only Paramatma with us?
Please enlighten me with the right mood and understanding.
Question 3:
If a materialist asks me, why do I wear three rounds of tulsi beads around my neck, what should I say that inspires the person, or inclines them towards Krishna consciousness?
Thank you,
Forever grateful to you,
Your insignificant servant,
Satsanga Devi Dasi
Answer
From: Sri Vrindavan Dham, IndiaMy Dear Satsanga devi,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
If you do not have such emotions as I have for Srila Prabhupada for your spiritual master, beg Lord Krishna to bless you with such emotions.
Connect with everyone on the spiritual platform by desiring to bless them with Krishna consciousness. This will make your relationship with them eternal.
Just as a policeman wears a certain uniform so that you will know that he is a policeman, you can tell them you wear three strands of neck beads so that he will know that you are a devotee of Krishna.
I hope this meets you in the best of health.
Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
