How Can We Get Out of Maya?

Since time immemorial we have caught in the clutches of birth, death, old age, and disease. The good news is that there is way out of this hellish situation. Srila Prabhupada explains the way out in a lecture he gave in Hyderbad, India on 14 April 1975:

"So to become free from māyā is very easy provided one understands Kṛṣṇa. And as soon as he understands Kṛṣṇa, he understands his duty, that 'My duty is to serve Kṛṣṇa.' That is called bhakti. Immediately he becomes free from all the contamination of māyā. Sa gunān samatītyaitān brahma-bhūyāya kalpate."

This Sanskrit is from Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 14, Verse 26 which says, "One who engages in full devotional service, who does not fall down in any circumstance, at once transcends the modes of material nature and thus comes to the level of Brahman."

From the bona fide spiritual master we can understand Krishna, become inspired to serve Krishna, and thus become liberated from the clutches of the material energy, māyā.

So let's all do this now and thus come back to our original liberated position.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
