Question: How to Balance My Life?

Hare Krishna,

I am in trouble and I need your guidance, because I do not understood what I should do at this stage of my life. I recently got my bachelor's degree. I have known about Krishna consciousness for the last two years and I want to invest my maximum time for doing Krishna bhakti.

I do not want to focus more than needed on earning post, power, position, money, etc . But my family and my circumstances push me towards achieving more and more in this material world like becoming an IAS / IPS officer or becoming a millionaire, etc. So that causes my mind to run also towards that path. So I am totaly confused. Please guide me.

The key is that you need a solid spiritual foundation of chanting at least 16 rounds of Hare Krishna japa mala along with strictly avoiding illicit sex, meat eating, intoxication, and gambling and then getting initiated. Once you have this solid foundation then you can engage in your livelihood activities in full Krishna consciousness.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
