Even a Slight Advancement in Bhakti  Protects Us from the Greatest Fear

In the Bhagavd-gita, Chapter 2, Text 40 Lord Krishna says:

nehābhikrama-nāśo 'sti
pratyavāyo na vidyate
sv-alpam apy asya dharmasya
trāyate mahato bhayāt

"In this endeavor there is no loss or diminution, and a little advancement on this path can protect one from the most dangerous type of fear."

In his purport to this verse Srila Prabhupada explains,"Material activities and their results end with the body. But work in Kṛṣṇa consciousness carries a person again to Kṛṣṇa consciousness, even after the loss of the body. At least one is sure to have a chance in the next life of being born again as a human being, either in the family of a great cultured brāhmaṇa or in a rich aristocratic family that will give one a further chance for elevation. That is the unique quality of work done in Kṛṣṇa consciousness."

This means if we sincerely begin this pathway of Krishna consciousness even if we do not become spiritually perfect we are sure to get at least a human birth in our next life to continue making spiritual progress. But still if we are intelligent we will make the determined effort to become qualified to go back to home, back to Godhead at the end of our present lifetime.

We can get help in chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa by invoking the mercy of Lord Caitanya and His associates by chanting the mantra that glorifies them:

jaya śrī-kṛṣṇa-caitanya prabhu nityānanda śrī-advaita
gadādhara śrīvāsādi-gaura-bhakta-vṛnda.

You can chant this mantra before you begin chanting your Hare Kṛṣṇa japa rounds or before each round.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
