All glories to Your Grace and Srimati Gurumata, and All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Srila Gurudeva, the following is a section from last paragraph of Chapter 14, Teachings of Queen Kunti:
"So our concern should be simply to love Kṛṣṇa. The more we love Kṛṣṇa, the more we shall become perfect. It is not necessary to understand Kṛṣṇa and how He creates. Kṛṣṇa explains Himself in Bhagavad-gītā, and we should not try to understand much more. We should not bother very much to know Kṛṣṇa. That is not possible. We should simply increase our unalloyed love for Kṛṣṇa. That is the perfection of life."
Kindly enlighten on the meaning of this section. Is loving Lord Krishna independent of knowing Him?
How to understand that "We should simply increase our unalloyed love for Kṛṣṇa"?
Begging your blessings,
Your eternal servant,
Bhadra devi dasi
My Dear Badra,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
The more you know Him, the more you will love Him. And the more you love Him, the more He will reveal everything about Himself to you. So knowing Him and loving Him are interconnected.
In this connection Krishna says in Bhagavad-gita Chapter 7, Text 1:
mayy āsakta-manāḥ pārtha
yogaṁ yuñjan mad-āśrayaḥ
asaṁśayaṁ samagraṁ māṁ
yathā jñāsyasi tac chṛṇu
"Now hear, O son of Pṛthā, how by practicing yoga in full consciousness of Me, with mind attached to Me, you can know Me in full, free from doubt."
That yoga is the yoga described in the last verseof Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 6, bhakti yoga, the yoga of loving devotional service to Krishna.
I hope this meets you in the best of health.
