Krishna Consciousness is the Only Solution
Just as the only way to nourish the body is to put food into the mouth, the only way that there can be peace and happiness in the human society is to put Krishna or God back into the center. In other words our society must become theocentric.
The difficulty is that now instead of being theocentric it is egocentric. Everyone, even the dog, thinks himself to be center of existence. Instead of having one circle with one common center of interest for all living beings we have thousands, millions, billions, and trillions of circles of interest that are constantly conflicting with each other. No wonder there is much chaos in the world with mass shootings and terrorism now becoming regular affairs.

Please tell me the meaning of "Srila". I am sorry if I asked you a stupid question, but my curiosity is genuine Gurudeva!
Thank you, Hare Krishna!

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Srila Prabhupada was asked the same question on a morning walk on December 21, 1973 in Los Angeles. Here's how the conversation went:
Guest: Prabhupāda, what is the meaning of the word Śrīla?
Prabhupāda: Śrīla is... just like we say "Śrī" to the ordinary person. And Śrīla to very respectable person.
Guest: La.
Prabhupāda: La, yes. Śrī means beauty, and la means līlā. So "one who is invested with both beauty and the power to understand the līlā of Kṛṣṇa."
I hope this meets you in the best of health.
Your ever well-wisher,
