Don't Take God Like the Big Santa Claus in the Sky

In today's modern day highly materialistic world even those people who are God conscious such as Hindus, Muslims, Christians, and Jews take God in the wrong way. Instead of being in the mood of fully surrendering to God as taught by Lord Jesus and the great Vaisnava acharyas, they take Him as the big Santa Claus in the sky Who will fulfill your material desires.

I have first hand experience of this being raised as a Christian. My mother asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I told her I wanted a pair of cowboys boots. So every night before I went to sleep my mother came to my bedside to see whether or not I had prayed to God for my cowboy boots, and I would tell her that I had. Sure enough what was there under the Christmas tree on Christmas morning? A brand new pair of cowboy boots. This is how my mother taught me to believe in God.

But we are meant to be in the mood of lovingly serving God, not asking God to serve us. It is only this mood of fully surrendering to Krishna or God in the mood of loving service that will liberate us from this material existence and thus qualify us to return to His transcendental kingdom upon our departure from our present material bodies.

Question: How Souls Are Born?

How are souls created (born) if we never die and can live multiple lives, and then how are some souls older than others?

Answer: We Were Never Born

All of we souls are of equal age because each of us is infinite having always existed from time immemorial (time without beginning.) We souls are never created. We are eternally emanating from the Supreme Soul, Krishna or God, for the purpose of satisfying Him by having loving relationships with Him. Right now we are suffering like anything (even though we sometimes imagine that we are happy here) in this material existence having turned away from Krishna or God. We are foolishly trying to enjoy independently from Him by either denying His existence altogether or simply accepting Him as our big Santa Claus in the sky to fulfill our foolish material desires.

But because He is our ever-well-wisher He is doing everything possible from His side to convince us to voluntarily come back to Him to revive our original unlimitedly blissful loving relationships with Him. The bona fide scriptures and the bona fide spiritual master teach us the art of how to do this. Therefore if we have any brain substance remaining within our aging skulls, we will take full advantage of their enlightened guidance and qualify ourselves for going back to Home, back to the kingdom of God after leaving our present material bodies.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
