Question: Proper Attitude Toward Failure?

Hare Krishna Dear Gurudev,
Dandavat pranam!

Whenever I fail in achieving my goals like waking up early everyday or performing some special service, I console myself saying it's ok that I wasn't able to do it. But I'm very doubtful if such an attitude will help me. To make things worse, whenever I go to my mother seeking some motivation, she also tells me the same, it's ok that I wasn't able to do it. Is this a proper attitude to have to be successful in spiritual life, or should I try to change my attitude towards failures?

It's not okay to fail, but when you fail you should study the failures to see why you failed so that in the future you will not fail again. If you carefully study your failures and resolve not to make the same mistake again, your failures will the pillars of your success.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
