Foolish Ass Carries So Much Burden on the Back
Do you want to be like the ass who works hard all day carrying huge burdens on his back to simply to get a few morsels of grass from his master at the end of day, not realizing that unlimited grass is growing everywhere along the road on which he carries his burdens? Our modern day materialistic civilization is an ass-like civilization because we have created a world in which everyone has to work very hard struggling for hours and hours every day simply to get a place to sleep and some food to eat. When we put Krishna or God back in the center of the world civilization, everyone will be able to get their necessities of life much easier without so many daily hours and hours of struggle.

Since love is voluntary, it cannot be forced. Thus God's will is that we have the freedom of choice whether we want to love Him or leave Him. If we choose to love Him, we live an eternal life full of bliss and knowledge in His eternal kingdom. And it we choose to leave Him, we repeatedly suffer the pangs of birth, death, old age, and disease in this material existence birth after birth after birth through the 8,400,000 different species of life. His will is that we should return to Him. But He does not drag us like prisoners back to His abode. He gives us perfect instructions in the Bhagavad-gita with the hope that we will hear and understand and voluntarily surrender ourselves unto Him so we can return to our original relationship we once had with Him before we so foolishly fell into this material existence.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
