Unlimited Happiness at Every Minute

Lord Sri Krishna has so kindly blessed us with such wonderful liberating knowledge. Bhagavad-gita 5:20-21 is especially profound and enlightening:

na prahṛṣyet priyaṁ prāpya
nodvijet prāpya cāpriyam
sthira-buddhir asammūḍho
brahma-vid brahmaṇi sthitaḥ

bāhya-sparśeṣv asaktātmā
vindaty ātmani yat sukham
sa brahma-yoga-yuktātmā
sukham akṣayam aśnute

"A person who neither rejoices upon achieving something pleasant nor laments upon obtaining something unpleasant, who is self-intelligent, who is unbewildered, and who knows the science of God, is already situated in transcendence. Such a liberated person is not attracted to material sense pleasure but is always in trance, enjoying the pleasure within. In this way the self-realized person enjoys unlimited happiness, for he concentrates on the Supreme."

By training ourselves to always be equipoised in this way by taking complete shelter of Guru and Krishna we will enjoy unlimited happiness at every moment. What could be more sublime than this?

Question: Song Based on Rupa Goswami's Verse?

Dear Srila Gurudeva.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Please accept my humble obeisances unto your lotus feet

Gurudeva, we are listening to your album "Our Sweet Lord " since we were with you in Pune, India. My favorite tracks are "The Peace Formula" and the fourth track, "Unlimited Oceans of Nectar." Is this fourth track based on Rupa Goswami's mood? The lyrics and composition is sublime. The Hare Krishna mahamantra in that track is a attracting few friends.

Your eternal servant,
Krishnapriya.

Answer: Yes, It Is.

From: ISKCON Austin, Texas USA

My Dear Krishnapriya,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Yes, my song, "Unlimited Oceans of Nectar," is a presentation in English of Rupa Goswami’s famous verse:

tuṇḍe tāṇḍavinī ratiṁ vitanute tuṇḍāvalī-labdhaye
karṇa-kroḍa-kaḍambinī ghaṭayate karṇārbudebhyaḥ spṛhām
cetaḥ-prāṅgaṇa-saṅginī vijayate sarvendriyāṇāṁ kṛtiṁ
no jāne janitā kiyadbhir amṛtaiḥ kṛṣṇeti varṇa-dvayī

“I do not know how much nectar the two syllables ‘Krish-na’ have produced. When the holy name of Krishna is chanted, it appears to dance within the mouth. We then desire many, many mouths. When that name enters the holes of the ears, we desire many millions of ears. And when the holy name dances in the courtyard of the heart, it conquers the activities of the mind, and therefore all the senses become
inert.”

Srila Prabhupada was very fond of this verse. I am very very happy to hear that your friends were attracted by the Hare Krishna chanting. This is our mission: to attract the whole world to Hare Krishna kirtan.

I hope this meets you in the best of health
and in an ecstatic mood.

Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
