Question: How to Deal With Upset People?

You mentioned that a pure devotee becomes dear to everyone. However there are people who may not appreciate your views even though you are a great spiritual leader. I'm just a neophyte devotee, and I notice that sometimes people get upset if I follow Krishna consciousness strictly by not showing interest in sense gratification. They think I'm being too religious by not being easy-going like them. They don't believe in Krishna, hence I cannot preach to them about Krishna consciousness. How to deal with such situations?

Answer: Shower Them With Love

The devotee masters the art of showering everyone with love, making a positive connection with everyone no matter what level they are on. Krishna is all-attractive, and therefore His pure devotee being qualitatively one with Him is also very attractive, not necessarily physically but by the kind-hearted way he deals with everyone. By his compassionate dealings in which represents purely the loving mercy of Krishna he naturally becomes attractive to everyone because there is nothing that people like more than being purely loved without any material motivation.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
