If You're Not Busy Being Born, You're Busy Dying

There are two ways that you can go in life. You can go into the light or you can go into the darkness. If you go into the light, as you continue along the way your life will become brighter and more illuminated. On the other hand, if you go into the darkness, as you traverse that trail you will find that things become darker, more miserable and more illusioned. The path of light is the golden road of being reborn into your eternal all-blissful, all-cognizant spiritual identity. And the path of darkness means that you are dying, killing or deeply burying your actual identity by covering it with so many false identities in relationship to your temporary body.

Question: How To Get Free From Karma?

How will we be able to know whether or not we are suffering our previous karma and creating new karma? Although I try to follow Krishna consciousness very seriously, being a very insignificant entity, I don't know whether or not I am harvesting my previous karmas and creating new karma. Please guide me. I will be obliged to you.

Answer: Surrender to Krishna

Until you surrender to Krishna you will continue to suffer from the reactions to your previous karma while you continue creating new karma, which binds you even tighter in this material existence. Therefore it is essential that as soon as possible you surrender to Krishna by taking shelter through initiation of his representative, the bona fide spiritual master. In this way you will become liberated from the reactions of your past karma and will no longer create any more karmic reactions for yourself.
