Don't Be A Victim of this Fool's Paradise

This material world is a fool's paradise because here everyone is programmed to think that they are their bodies and that therefore their happiness revolves around satisfying the senses of their body. Nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is that we are not these bodies. These bodies are just temporary coverings of the self. We are instead pure spiritual beings constituted to have a sweet loving relationship with the Supreme Person, the source of all existence. That person has unlimited names, the chief of which is the name Krishna. To connect with that Supreme Person in a loving relationship is not being dogmatic as the foolish atheists claim. It is simply a matter of knowing who you are and being who you are.

Question: Impossible to Make Whole World Krishna Conscious?

In this age of Kali, isn't it impossible to make the whole world God conscious since Kali Yuga is age of darkness and ignorance?

Answer: Yes, But the Impossible Can Become Possible

Yes, it is certainly impossible to make the entire world Krishna conscious in the midst of this dark, ignorant age of Kali. But yet by the inconceivable mercy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, even the impossible can become possible. And indeed it is predicted in the Caitanya Caritamrita that the entire world will become Krishna conscious:

saj-jana, durjana, paṅgu, jaḍa, andha-gaṇa
prema-vanyāya ḍubāila jagatera jana

"The Krishna consciousness movement will inundate the entire world and drown everyone, whether one be a gentleman, a rogue or even lame, invalid or blind." —Sri Caitanya Caritamrita, Adi Lila, 7.26

Of course we don’t expect to see such a transformation in our lifetimes. Reasonably we expect that it will take many thousands of years before this prediction can come true. But then again, Krishna can work any miracle according to His choosing. If we, the devotees of the Krishna consciousness movement, become fully competent in a mood of pure bhakti to lead the entire world out of chaos by exemplary behavior and faithful presentation of the Vedic conclusion, Krishna can surely make the entire world Krishna conscious within a minute. So let’s try for this most ideal of all scenarios by cultivating pure bhakti within our hearts at every minute and endeavoring like anything to make the entire world Krishna conscious.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
