When All Appears Hopeless

In this material world it is natural that sometimes we will feel that everything is hopeless. By our very natures we hanker for eternal bliss and knowledge, and when we find ourselves stuck in a temporary body full of ignorance and misery it is natural that sometimes we will feel that life is hopeless. This is indeed unavoidable because the all-devouring time factor eventually destroys all those things which give us a false sense of hope. No matter how successful we may be, due the influence of inexorable time we will naturally ultimately experience hopelessness, despair, and defeat unless we are situated on the transcendental platform beyond this material existence. Simply negating the material existence seeing it as the false shelter that it really is, is not sufficient to liberate us. We must solidly situate ourselves on the platform of transcendental variegatedness in the divine association of the Supreme Personality of Godhead if we want to taste the true sweetness of immortality and thus become unlimitedly hopeful about our future happiness and success.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
