Onward to Copenhagen

26 March 2014--After an intense but extremely exhilarating and uplifting two day stop in Radhadesh, where I taught a six hour min-course on prema bhakti, pure devotional service to Krishna, this morning we are now heading on the Copenhagen for several ecstatic days of sharing the science of Krishna consciousness with the Danish devotees. There is truly nothing sweeter than being absorbed 24 hours a day in hearing about Krishna, glorifying Krishna, and serving Krishna. May my life go on like this for all of eternity.

Question: Why Did Krishna Allow the Kali Yuga to Come?

The supreme personality (Lord Krishna) knew that in the age of Kali people will forget their relationship with God and they will not have any God consciousness. He knew that people will be attached to temporary material happiness. So why did Lord Krishna allow such a situation to arise? Why did he program the minds of the people to get them attached to the material world?

Answer: He Gives Us Freedom to Be What We Want to Be

Krishna does not program anyone's mind. He freely allows everyone to be what they want to be. The age of Kali is not forced upon humanity by Krishna. It is simply a manifestation of the combined desire of so many millions and billions of people throughout the world to forget God. This is their desire, not God's desire.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
