When maya, the material energy, attacks, what to do? We have to be prepared. When a country is attacked by an enemy, is that the time it should start thinking about putting together a defense force? No. A well managed country will have its defenses in place long before the enemy attacks. Therefore we must be well protected ahead of time behind a strong fortress of purified consciousness. This is achieved by regularly hearing about Krishna. Disciplined regular hearing over a period of time builds up our resistance to maya so much so that when maya attacks her influence will simply bounce off of us without having any impact upon us at all.

Once we attain the Supreme we will not come back to this material world. In that case who will give lessons to ignorant people to bring them closer to God? So is the desire to attain the Supreme a selfish desire?.

Answer: Devotee is Perfect in Selflessness

The Lord's devotee is perfect in selflessness because he is willing to do whatever the Lord desires. If the Lord wants him to stay in this material world to deliver the fallen, conditioned souls, he gladly does that. If the Lord wants him to return to the spiritual world to participate in the Lord's transcendental pastimes, he is happy to do that. And if the Lord wants him to do both simultaneously, he is also delighted to do that.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
