There's No One Like Krishna

You can search through all the persons who have existed within the vast span of history to find the most wonderful and amazing person. But you will never find anyone who is equal to or greater than Krishna. He excels everyone in every conceivable and inconceivable way. This is why Lord Brahma says that He is without a second. In other words there is only one person in all of existence of the caliber of Krishna and that is Krishna, no one else.

Question: How Can We Be Brahman When Brahman is Impersonal?

First let me thank you for this guidance of yours. It is of great value.

Brahman is explained by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada to be the universal impersonal spirit and the impersonal effulgence of the personal Lord. It is also explained that the jiva, the individual soul is Brahman: "aham brahmasmi." So how is it that we are persons when we are the impersonal Brahman? I would be very thankful if you could clear up this confusion.

Answer: Only the Impersonal Brahman is Impersonal

We, the living beings, are Brahman. That is a fact. But it is not that we are the impersonal Brahman. Brahman has two aspects: personal and impersonal. The Supreme Lord Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna is the Supreme Brahman, and the impersonal Brahman is a subordinate aspect of Him, the effulgence emanating from His transcendental body. We, the living beings are also emanating from His transcendental body, the difference being that we are persons while the impersonal Brahman is impersonal.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
