Prabhupada Wants Us To Become Pure Devotees

In his purport to Sri Caitanya Caritamrita, Madhya Lila, Chapter 24, Text 98 Srila Prabhupada enlightens us as follows:

"Only a pure devotee can convert others to pure devotional service. It is therefore important for all the preachers in our Krishna consciousness movement to first become pure devotees and follow the regulative principles, refraining from illicit sex, meat-eating, gambling and intoxication. They should regularly chant the Hare Krishna maha-mantra on their beads, follow the devotional process, rise early in the morning, attend mangala-arati and recite Srimad-Bhagavatam and the Bhagavad-gita regularly. In this way, one can become purified and free from all material contamination."

Therefore if we have any feeling of compassion upon the suffering souls of today's grossly misguided world, we must follow Srila Prabhupada's above instructions and qualify ourselves to help others to become free from all suffering by coming to Krishna consciousness. We need to begin our day by rising early, taking bath and observing mangala-arati either at the temple or at home.

Question: Why God Has Made Us Diseased?

Please help me. I have a doubt. If we emanated from God why does He make us diseased?

Sowmya

Answer: God Did Not Make Us Diseased. We Made Did .

This is our disease that we want to blame God for our sufferings in this material existence. We are just like the child who runs away from and then blames his parents for the difficulties
he faces while living on the street. We foolishly abandoned the world where there is no disease trading it for the world where there is disease. And now we foolishly want to blame God for that which is clearly our fault, not His.
