Joyful Return to the Holy Land

We have now returned to the holy land of India. This is Lord Krishna' favorite place in this universe. Even though it is presently very much covered over by the influence of the Kali yuga, the signs and symptoms of the its former Vedic culture are still often wonderfully manifested. For example, as we were leaving the arrivals area in the New Delhi airport we had to turn in a baggage declaration slip to the government officials. As we did so the government man joyfully said to us, "Hare Rama." I replied with "Hare Krishna" and thanked him profusely for his auspicious greeting. India is naturally a Krishna conscious place, but it is presently being spoiled by materialistic politicians who are not coming in the fine tradition of Parikshit Maharaja and Yudhisthira Maharaja.

India, the Land of Krishna

Question: Why Does Krishna Ignore Morality?

Why Krishna doesn't take care of what is morality and what is immorality? For instances, Krishna kidnapped Rukmini. Krishna told Arjuna to abduct His own sister Subhadra. Moreover, He turned a righteous man like Yudhisthira into a liar. He told Yudhisthira that lie to Dronacharya that Ashwasthama is dead. Aren't all these cases unethical and immoral?

Answer: It Is Our Immorality If We Judge Krishna to Be Immoral

This is our immorality if we judge Krishna as being immoral. This means that we do not understand the pure morality of Krishna. For Him there is no question of stealing because everything is His property as confirmed in Bhagavad-gita 5.29. It is our immorality to think that anything belongs to anyone else.
