We live in a world consumed by greed. And the more the greed increases, the more the world civilization breaks down. We are seeing practical evidence of this every day. If we are going to ever have peace and prosperity for everyone on this planet, we must transcend the platform of greed and come to the enlightened platform of Krishna consciousness, where everything is seen as the property of God and everything is utilized fully in His service. Until then all attempts for solving the world's problems will prove to be utterly ineffective and a useless waste of time. What can the rascal self-serving politicians do? They only increase the problems.

Answer: Be Intelligent and Feed the Real Self

Chanting is the nourishment for the soul, and food is the nourishment for the body. Even though you know that are not your body, every day you make sure to feed it. It is not that some days you do not eat. You know that your real identity is that you are a spirit-soul. So how can you feed the covering of the self while you simultaneously starve the real self within? Kindly properly use your intelligence and do the needful.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
