What to Do When All Hell Breaks Loose

Sometimes we find ourselves trapped in the most disturbing situations. We become extremely sick and bedridden. Our house burns to the ground. A dear relative dies. Or we find ourselves on the verge of death about to leave our temporary bodies. The list goes on and on. How we are psychologically supposed to handle such situations without becoming completely overwhelmed and bewildered?

The answer is very simple. Always remember that Krishna is the Supreme Personality of God and that we are His eternal servants. This simple remembrance will keep us sane, It will save us even in darkest hour of despair.

Hindu is word from the Muslims The proper term is “Vedic civilization,” the civilization based on the Vedic scriptures. That civilization dominated the entire planet earth for millions years and will re-emerge within the next 10,000 because of the introduction of the Hare Krishna movement 500 years in West Bengal by the Golden Avatar, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, (the Supreme Personality of Godhead appearing the form of His own devotee) and by the worldwide spreading of this movement by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami, the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Those persons who are most fortunate will the take advantage of this movement and make their lives unlimitedly sublime.

My Spiritual Journey in a Nutshell

As an American youth I was taught to believe in the. "American dream": Study hard, get a good education and a good job to get a good wife some good kids in a good house to enjoy a good life. But when I got to college, I realized that this was not enough. I wanted to know what is the meaning of life, but no one could tell me. So I took to the path of self-realization and was blessed in 1968 with the Hare Krishna mantra and the worship of Radha and Krishna. (I did not know about ISKCON.) This inspired me to drop out of college and renounce the world to become a holy beggar in India. But on the way to India I realized that to renounce everything I had to ultimately renounce renunciation itself and accept something transcendental Thus I embraced the mission of delivering the world from chaos. For this purpose I adopted the life a singer/songwriter who in 1969 became recognized and very much appreciated. In 1971, seeking spiritual perfection, I followed the example of Lord Jesus Christ and prayed to God how I could become His perfect servant. Then God revealed to me path of pure Krishna bhakti as taught by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami. On the most auspicious day of 12 August 1971 he accepted me as his disciple. Now on his order and under his most expert guidance I have fully devoted my life for awakening pure love of God within my heart and for making the entire world Krishna conscious.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
