We Are Out to Save the World

There is only one valid reason to leave Vrindavan, i.e. to execute the mission of saving the whole world from chaos. Just as Srila Prabhupada left Vrindavan for the sole purpose of making the whole Krishna conscious, similarly we have no other reason for leaving Vrindavan except for the purpose of saving the world. We are very encouraged in this regard by this verse quoted by Srila Prabhupada in his purport to CC Madhya 8.246;

In the Itihāsa-samuccaya, Nārada tells Puį¹‡įøarÄ«ka:
janmāntara-sahasreį¹£u yasya syād buddhir Ä«dį¹›Å›Ä«
dāso ’haį¹ vāsudevasya sarvāl lokān samuddharet
”After many, many births, when a person realizes that he is the eternal servant of Vāsudeva, he can deliver all the worlds.”

Plus here is a translation of the same verse from Prabhupada's early writngs In his essay Search of the Ultimate Goal of Life: "A person who considers himself the eternal servant of the Personality of Godhead Vasudeva (a conception that is achieved after thousands and thousands of births) can deliver all the fallen souls in material existence.

Thus with the authority of Srila Prabhupada and sastra we can embrace the desire to deliver all of the fallen souls in material existence back to home, back to Godhead. For such a purpose we can travel all over the world carrying Vrindavan within us in our hearts.

My Spiritual Journey in a Nutshell

As an American youth I was taught to believe in the. "American dream": Study hard, get a good education and a good job to get a good wife some good kids in a good house to enjoy a good life. But when I got to college I realized that this was not enough. I wanted to know what is the meaning of life, but no one could tell me. So I took to the path of self-realization and was blessed in 1968 with the Hare Krishna mantra and the worship of Radha and Krishna. (I did not know about ISKCON.) This inspired me to drop out of college and renounce the world to become a holy beggar in India. But on the way to India I realized that to renounce everything I had to ultimately renounce renunciation itself and accept something transcendental Thus I embraced the mission of delivering the world from chaos. For this purpose I adopted the life a singer/songwriter who in 1969 became recognized and very much appreciated. In 1971, seeking spiritual perfection, I followed the example of Lord Jesus Christ and prayed to God how I could become His perfect servant. Then God revealed to me path of pure Krishna bhakti as taught by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami. On the most auspicious day of 12 August 1971 he accepted me as his disciple. Now on his order and under his most expert guidance I have fully devoted my life for awakening pure love of God within my heart and for making the entire world Krishna conscious.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
