Here is the Ultimate Weapon

Normally when we think about the ultimate weapon we think about a nuclear bomb. Or if we are learned in Vedic wisdom we think about the yogic perfection known as īśitā siddhi by which one can create and destroy an entire planet simply at will. But these powerful weapons are dwarfed by the ultimate weapon, a pair of cymbals in the hands of Krishna's pure devotee, Srila Prabhupada. By this pair of cymbals (khartals) that he brought from India to launch the Krishna consciousness movement in the Western world he has set into motion the greatest paradigm shift that has ever taken place in this material world, the total deliverance of all the conditioned souls who are suffering in this material existence in the cycle of birth and death.

In this connection Srila Prabhupada told us in Los Angeles on May 18, 1977:

So my dear boys and girls, about six years ago I came to your country single-handed, with this pair of cymbals. Now you are so many chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. That is my success. It was the prediction of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu:

pṛthivīte āche yata nagarādi grāma
sarvatra pracāra hoibe mora nāma
(Caitanya-bhāgavata, Antya 4.126)

Lord Caitanya desired that "In all the towns, in as many towns and villages as there are on the surface of the globe, My name will be broadcast." He is Kṛṣṇa Himself, svayaṁ kṛṣṇa, kṛṣṇa caitanya-nāmine, simply changing His name as Kṛṣṇa Caitanya. So His prediction will never go in vain. That's a fact. So my plan was that "I shall go to America. America is the leading country of the world. If I can convince (the) younger generation of America, they will take up." I am old man. I came here at the age of seventy years; now I am seventy-six. So my warning is already there. In nineteen hundred and seventy-one, I had a severe heart attack. You know, all. So the mission of Caitanya Mahāprabhu is now in your hands. You are American boys and girls, very intelligent and graced by Kṛṣṇa. You are not poverty-stricken. You have enough resources, prestige. Everything materially, you are all well-equipped. If you kindly take this Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement seriously, your country will be saved, and the whole world will be saved.

So now let us all take seriously the order of Srila Prabhupada to dedicate our lives for making the whole world Krishna conscious. We have khartals and mridangas. So let us head out now on Harinam sankirtan to bless the fallen souls with Krishna's holy names.

Transcendental Correspondence

Hare Krishna dandawat pranam Prabhu 

I am grihastha krishna devotee. In past life I was suffering from illicit sex and watching adult porn movies. Sometimes its remembrance come in my mind and I get mentally disturbed.

My mind seduces me to do wrong and scolds me for doing wrong. Addiction of such behavior make me long for this even though I don't like it. My mind is getting day by day lazy and weak in spiritual growth. Please help me to get rid of these anarthas.

I beg to acknowledge receipt of your email dated 23 March 2025 copied below and have noted the contents.

Śrī Yāmunācārya, a great saint and devotee was formerly a king and had full facility for sex with so many maiden who were living in the palace. So he had many memories of sexual intercourse with so many beautiful girls. But then he became Krishna conscious. So whenever those memories popped into his brain he would spit at then. In this connection we composed a wonderful verse:

yad-avadhi mama cetaḥ kṛṣṇa-pādāravinde
nava-nava-rasa-dhāmany udyataṁ rantum āsīt
tad-avadhi bata nārī-saṅgame smaryamāne
bhavati mukha-vikāraḥ suṣṭhu niṣṭhīvanaṁ ca

"Since my mind has been engaged in the service of the lotus
feet of Lord Kṛṣṇa, and I have been enjoying an ever new
transcendental humor, whenever I think of sex life with a
woman, my face at once turns from it, and I spit at the thought.”

So what you should do whenever your mind is tormented
by sex desire is recite this verse again and again until the demoniac sex desire goes way. Of course, sex desire can be used for producing Krishna conscious children. That is divine sex desire. But besides this sex desire is demoniac and must be rigidly given up.

My Spiritual Journey in a Nutshell

As an American youth I was taught to believe in the. "American dream": Study hard, get a good education and a good job to get a good wife some good kids in a good house to enjoy a good life. But when I got to college I realized that this was not enough. I wanted to know what is the meaning of life, but no one could tell me. So I took to the path of self-realization and was blessed in 1968 with the Hare Krishna mantra and the worship of Radha and Krishna. (I did not know about ISKCON.) This inspired me to drop out of college and renounce the world to become a holy beggar in India. But on the way to India I realized that to renounce everything I had to ultimately renounce renunciation itself and accept something transcendental Thus I embraced the mission of delivering the world from chaos. For this purpose I adopted the life a singer/songwriter who in 1969 became recognized and very much appreciated. In 1971, seeking spiritual perfection, I followed the example of Lord Jesus Christ and prayed to God how I could become His perfect servant. Then God revealed to me path of pure Krishna bhakti as taught by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami. On the most auspicious day of 12 August 1971 he accepted me as his disciple. Now on his order and under his most expert guidance I have fully devoted my life for awakening pure love of God within my heart and for making the entire world Krishna conscious.
