You Hold the Key to Love and Fear in Your Hand
This material world is the world of fear because we are always tortured by the three fold miseries (miseries of the mind and body, miseries caused by other living beings, and miseries by natural disturbances such as hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.) and the four fold miseries (birth, death, old age, and disease). But when one awakens his love for Krishna he becomes fearless. He becomes abhaya-caran, one who is fearless by having taking shelter of the lotus feet of Lord Sri Krishna. This Krishna consciousness movement is meant for this purpose, to become abhayam, no more fear. Why one should fear? If we take shelter of the supreme abhayam, Krishna, fear is completely vanquished. Taking shelter of Krishna's lotus feet is to become free from free from fearfulness.
This idea of conquering fear by love was even there in an elementary form in the hippie movement. In the song "Get Together", which became the anthem of the hippie movement, these words were sung:
If you hear the song I sing
You will understand
You hold the key to love and fear
All in your trembling hand
Just one key unlocks them both
It's there at your command.
Thousands of hippies who were seeking that perfection of love that would destroy all fear took shelter of the lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Sri Krishna and become fearless. Those hippies became happies. I most fortunate that by the grace of Srila Prabhupada I was also one of them.

Enlightenment is not something cheap like a little toy that we give to a child to play with. It is the rarest gem, the epitome of the evolution of consciousness. Thus out of millions and millions of those pursue the path of spiritual enlightenment it is rare to find even one persons who has factually achieved it, even though many fools will falsely advertise that they have achieved it.
When a person is factually enlightened with that transcendental knowledge by which all ignorance and suffering is destroyed, out of compassion on the suffering souls of this world he naturally fully dedicates his life to enlightening the entire human civilization on this planet with this transcendental knowledge, even if he has to undergo great difficulties even to the point of being severely beaten or nailed to a cross in order to do so.
