Appearance Day of Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati

Today is the most auspicious appearance day
of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati. I was sitting at Srila Prabhupada's lotus feet in Atlanta, Georgia on Bhaktisiddhanta's Appearance Day in 1975 when he gave the most wonderful lecture in praise of his spiritual master. I'd like to share this wonderful mercy with you. You hear it right now. Listen carefully. It is as good as being there in person.

Question: Remembering the Material World After Going Back to Godhead?

Hare Krishna Prabhu,

Srila Prabhupada said that after having come to this material world and having gotten the experience of this material world, we can go back to Godhead and never come back here again. Is this is possible only if we remember our bad experiences in this material world after we return to the spiritual world?

Whether we remember or not what counts is that we will be tasting so much happiness in the spiritual world that there will be no question of falling down again. As it is said, "Once burned, twice shy." Krishna says in Bhagavad-gita 4.9:

janma karma ca me divyam
evaṁ yo vetti tattvataḥ
tyaktvā dehaṁ punar janma
naiti mām eti so 'rjuna

"One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, take his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode, O Arjuna."

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
