Can you imagine that there could be such an incredibly amazing person as Srila Prabhupada who could come to the West at the age of 70 with practically no money and no sponsors and attract many thousands of the drug and sex addicted long haired, bearded hippies to shave their faces and heads clean except for a small tuft hair on the back of their heads called the sikha and give up their sex and drug habits replacing them with chanting the holy names of God and then with the help of these new recruits establish Krishna conscious centers in every continent of the world all within the span of a mere eleven years after suffering two heart attacks? Surely no one, not even God Himself as Lord Caitanya, Who only spread Krishna consciousness within India, has come even slightly close to what has been accomplished by His Divine Grace Om Vishnupada Paramahamsa Parivrakacarya Abhay Caranavavinda Bhaktivedanta Tridandi Goswami Maharaja Prabhupada!

Please accept my blessings.

We in the Krishna consciousness movement have loving feelings about everyone. Since we are all the children of God everyone is our brothers and sisters. But when it comes to teachings we have to see who is properly presenting the teachings that God Himself is teaching in the Bhagavad-gita. The Ramakrishna Mission teaches “Yata mata tata patha" that you can follow any path you like and become God. But it is not that we, the living beings, can become God. Krishna or God reveals Himself in the Bhagavad-gita as the original source of everything and that we are His emanated energy. He is the energetic and we are the energy. It just like there is the sun and there is the sunshine. It’s not that sunshine, although qualitatively one with the sun because it also possesses heat and light, can be the sun. There is a gulf of difference between the sunshine and the sun. If the sunshine enters your room, it is a very nice experience. But if the sun planet enters your room, you will be burned to a crisp. Therefore on the basis of proper philosophical understanding we have to reject the false teachings of the Ramakrishna mission.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
