The Topmost Devotee Can Deliver the World

When Lord Caitanya was teaching Sanatana Goswami, He stated as follows (Sri Caitanya Caritamrita, Madhya Lila, Chapter 22, Text 65):

śāstra-yuktye sunipuṇa, dṛḍha-śraddhā yāṅra
’uttama-adhikārī’ sei tāraye saṁsāra

“One who is expert in logic, argument and the revealed scriptures and who has firm faith in Kṛṣṇa is classified as a topmost devotee. He can deliver the whole world."

How are struggling neophytes such are ourselves to take this verse?

We should think that I must now become very expert in logic, argument, and the revealed scriptures by reading Srila Prabhupada's books as much as possible, by hearing as many Krishna conscious lectures as possible, and by preaching as much as possible. I must also now develop absolute unflinching faith in Krishna by diving deeply into chanting my japa, lovingly associating with devotees, and devotedly serving my spiritual master. These I must do how so that the Lord can fully utilize me as His instrument for making the world Krishna conscious as soon as possible.

sthita-prajñas tadocyate

"The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: O Pārtha, when a man gives up all varieties of desire for sense gratification, which arise from mental concoction, and when his mind, thus purified, finds satisfaction in the self alone, then he is said to be in pure transcendental consciousness."

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
