The Non-Envious Well-Wishers of All Living Beings

Srila Prabhupada has very wonderfully described the non-envious nature of Krishna's devotee as follows:

"Krishna's devotee is the non-envious well-wisher of all living beings. If another devotee is more spiritually advanced than he is, he is not envious. Rather he appreciates how fortunate he is to be blessed by advanced association so he can advance further in Krishna consciousness. With such a humble, non-envious mode he will advance very quickly on the path of Krishna consciousness.Those persons who are most fortunate to get his association will be greatly blessed on their path towards spiritual perfection."

From this description each one of us can analyze ourselves to see whether or not we are factually Krishna conscious.

Question: Why Non-Devotees Avoid Us?

Dear Srila Gurudeva,

Thank you for today's enlightening lecture on envy. (www.LiveLectures.net). You cut through so many misconceptions.

Just like we devotees are trying to distance ourselves from envious non-devotees. Is it possible that non-devotees distance themselves from us because of mistaking us to be envious of their enjoying mentality.

I mention this only because there was a phase in my past (during my student life) where I (temporarily) lost my faith in God. I do not remember being envious of God. I sincerely believe that it was more due to a victim mentality. I was always taught to treat God as my order supplier. My question is: Is every non believer necessarily a demon?

Considering that 800,000 people die by suicide in the world each year, I can't stress enough about the positive services you are doing to our society. Please continue to engage me in your services. I have no other hope for progress.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
