Pure Chanter of the Holy Names Becomes Jagad-Guru
Srila Prabhupada very nicely explains in his purport to Sri Caitanya Caritamrita, Adi Lila, Chapter 7, Text 83 as follows:
"A sincere student aurally receives the holy name from the spiritual master, and after being initiated he follows the regulative principles given by the spiritual master. When the holy name is properly served in this way, automatically the spiritual nature of the holy name spreads; in other words, the devotee becomes qualified in offenselessly chanting the holy name. When one is completely fit to chant the holy name in this way, he is eligible to make disciples all over the world, and he actually becomes jagad-guru. Then the entire world, under his influence, begins to chant the holy names of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra."
Just imagine how wonderful it would to be able to chant the holy names completely free from even the most subtle offenses and to thus be able to influence the entire world to chant the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra. This is certainly my desire to reach this stage of pure chanting and make the whole world Krishna conscious. When I was young brahmacari in 1972 I inquired in a letter from Srila Prabhupada if I could aspire to become jagad-guru. Here is his reply from letter he wrote me from Bombay on 31 December 1972:
"You have got some desire to become...jagad-guru. This is a spiritual desire, so it is not like any material desire and it is all right to desire for Krishna in this way."
So therefore I am begging Lord Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead that He kindly bless me with the ability to purely chant His holy names. In this way I will be able to do something substantial for relieving the fallen, conditioned souls of this world from their many, many miseries.

Srila Prabhupada writes as follows:
"It is confirmed in the Padma Purāṇa as follows: 'Pure devotional service in Kṛṣṇa consciousness is the highest enlightenment, and when such enlightenment is there, it is just like a blazing forest fire, killing all the inauspicious snakes of desire.' The example is being given in this connection that when there is a forest fire the extensive blazing automatically kills all the snakes in the forest. There are many, many snakes on the ground of the forest, and when a fire takes place, it burns the dried foliage, and the snakes are immediately attacked. Animals who have four legs can flee from the fire or can at least try to flee, but the snakes are immediately killed. Similarly, the blazing fire of Kṛṣṇa consciousness is so strong that the snakes of ignorance are immediately killed."
Such a state is eternal, full of bliss, and full of knowledge. In that state one can see Krishna directly face-to-face, eye-to-eye.
I haven't reached the summit yet, but I have been working my way up the peak for the last half a century.
Because of Covid I have stopped all travel.
