Whenever We Are Unhappy, Here's the Cause

Our tendency when we are unhappy is to blame our unhappiness on the external situation. This could be the way that someone is treating us, a health issue, the weather, our financial status, or so many other things. Our tendency is to think that we will find happiness by adjusting the situation or removing ourselves from that situation. But nothing could further from the truth. The real cause of our unhappiness in any situation is simply our lack of Krishna consciousness. We are not connected with Krishna. As soon we reconnect with Krishna by being in a mood of serving Him with love we will be totally happy in any and all situations.

So the next time you are miserable don't torture yourself. Simply give your love to Krishna and you'll be the happiest person in the whole world.

The purpose of human life is self-realization. Just as birds are meant to fly in the sky and fish are meant to swim in the water, human beings are all meant to become self-realized, i.e. to situate themselves beyond material existence on the spiritual plane. It they do not do so, they are lower than animals. Therefore books that teach us how to attain the spiritual plane are the most essential books. Anyone who does not take advantage of such literatures to become spiritually perfect is lower than an animal. Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
