Initiation is Required to Go Back to Godhead
The following conversation took place on a morning walk in Melbourne, Australia on 22 May 1975:
Madhudviṣa: The question was, Prabhupāda, is it possible for a person to return to the spiritual world without taking initiation from a bona fide spiritual master?
Prabhupāda: No, that is not possible. Therefore Rūpa Gosvāmī said, ā dau gurv-āśrayam. First business is to accept spiritual master. Ā dau gurv-āśrayam. Who will train him? He is already fool, rascal. He must be trained up. So he must be trained up by the representative of Kṛṣṇa.
Therefore anyone is serious about escaping the cycle of birth and death and returning to the spiritual world must take initiation from the bona fide spiritual master.

I can't thank you enough for your kind mercy by accepting me as your initiated disciple today. It is my most cherished moment of my life which I thought may never happen in this lifetime. I remember I got introduced to your ultimate self realization course in 2005 and I got instantly attracted to your grace and accepted you as my spiritual master in my heart then only. But due to several constraints the situation was not favourable for me to get initiated earlier. But in the last 6 months by Lord Krishna's mercy and your kind blessings some of the constraints were removed so that I could be ready for initiation.
Please bless me so that I can follow your instructions nicely and become an instrument in your world deliverance mission.

Always be engaged in Krishna's business and stay fit in spiritual life by strictly following the regulative principles, by chanting at least 16 rounds of beads daily and without fail, by studying all our books and by regularly preaching to message of Krishna consciousness to others. These make for our very strength in spiritual life, and if you will follow them faithfully then your going back to home back to Godhead will be certain.
