Life's Goal: Realize the Highest Truth

The highest truth is not a mystery to us because Śrīla Vyāsadeva explains what it is Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (1.1.2):

dharmaḥ projjhita-kaitavo ’tra paramo nirmatsarāṇāṁ satāṁ
vedyaṁ vāstavam atra vastu śiva-daṁ tāpa-trayonmūlanam

“Completely rejecting all religions which are materially motivated, the Bhāgavata Purāṇa propounds the highest truth, which is understandable by those devotees who are pure in heart. The highest truth is reality distinguished from illusion for the welfare of all. Such truth uproots the threefold miseries.”

So let us all now fully realize the highest truth by the authorized method revealed to us by Lord Sri Krishna in the Bhagavad-gita, which is complete, total surrender to Guru and Krishna by accepting their orders as our very life and soul.

Question: Why Can't I Realize My Non-Existence?

In spirituality it is said that you are not the body or mind and that there is no me. In other words, the self is false. But until now I not able to see anything like that. I have tried, but i have not able see it. How is it possible that only a few people realize it but not me? What is wrong with me?

Answer: Because You Have Some Common Sense

There is nothing wrong with you. That you have not been able to realize the so-called non-existence of the self proves that there is at least one person on this planet, namely you, who still has at least a little bit of brain substance left, not like those brainless fools who think that they do not exist. They do not even have enough common sense to think, “If I have realized that I do not exist, who is doing the realizing?”.

While it’s true that you are not your body or your mind, it is completely untrue that you do not exist. You are an eternal spiritual being, qualitatively one with God Himself, that Supreme Person Who is the source of all existence. If you want to realize the highest truth, you cannot do it on your own. God Himself speaks in the scriptures that if you want to realize the highest truth you must approach a bona fide spiritual master. I was most fortunate that when I was seeking realization of the highest truth I came in contact with a bona fide spiritual master. Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee.
