The 10,000 Years Golden Era of Lord Caitanya

The 10,000 Years Golden Era of Lord Caitanya
We are most fortunate to be living in the 10,000 years Golden Era of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Even though we are living in the most inauspicious age of Kali, we are living in the most auspicious time when Lord Caitanya's movement is going to inundate the entire universe drowning everyone in the ocean of pure love of God. This is described in the Sri Caitanya Caritarmrita, Adi Lila, Chapter 7, Text 28 as follows:

yata yata prema-vṛṣṭi kare pañca-jane
tata tata bāḍhe jala, vyāpe tri-bhuvane

TRANSLATION
"The more the five members of the Pañca-tattva cause the rains of love of Godhead to fall, the more the inundation increases and spreads all over the world."

PURPORT by Srila Prabhupada:
"The Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement is not stereotyped or stagnant. It will spread all over the world in spite of all objections by fools and rascals that European and American mlecchas cannot be accepted as brāhmaṇas or sannyāsīs. Here it is indicated that this process will spread and inundate the entire world with Kṛṣṇa consciousness."

In this regard in a morning walk on June 5, 1976 in Los Angeles stated, "This movement will go for ten thousand years without any impediment."

Srila Prabhupada also describes this most auspicious 10,000 years Caitanya Era in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam, Canto 8, Chapter 5, Text 23 as follows:

"When Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu appeared, He ushered in the era for the saṅkīrtana movement. It is also said that for ten thousand years this era will continue. This means that simply by accepting the saṅkīrtana movement and chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra, the fallen souls of this Kali-yuga will be delivered. After the Battle of Kurukṣetra, at which Bhagavad-gītā was spoken, Kali-yuga continues for 432,000 years, of which only 5,000 years have passed. Thus there is still a balance of 427,000 years to come. Of these 427,000 years, the 10,000 years of the saṅkīrtana movement inaugurated by Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu 500 years ago provide the opportunity for the fallen souls of Kali-yuga to take to the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement, chant the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra and thus be delivered from the clutches of material existence and return home, back to Godhead."

So let us take full advantage of the special mercy we are getting at the present time to awaken pure love of God within our hearts and to make the whole world Krishna conscious as soon as possible.

Question: Who is a Pure Devotee?

Please accept my most humble and most respectful obeisances.
One of my friends requested me to submit a question before you. The question is: “ Who is pure devotee?” Kindly enlighten me.

Yours lovingly,
Ashis Paul

Answer: One Who is Constantly Devoted to Krishna

My Dear Ashis,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

A pure devotee is constantly engaged. Sometimes he chants, sometimes he hears or reads books about Krishna, or sometimes he cooks prasadam or goes to the marketplace to purchase something for Krishna, or sometimes he washes the temple or the dishes — whatever he does, he does not let a single moment pass without devoting his activities to Krishna.
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
