Seeing Krishna Face to Face, Eye to Eye

On July 2, 1975 on a morning walk in Denver, Colorado USA Srila Prabhupada most amazingly told us as follows:

"If you are suffering from cataract, how you can see distinctly? You have to get your eyes operated. Then you can see. So our bhakti process is simply purifying, purifying, more, more, more. When you are completely purified, you see God face to face, eye to eye, talk with Him, play with Him, just like cowherds boys, they are playing, the gopis are dancing. You get that position."

So this a great impetus for us to become Krishna's pure devotees.

Question: What is Devotional Service?

All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Hare Krishna Prabhu.
Please accept my humble obeisances.

Prabhu, I have started reading Srimad Bhagavat Gita and I have read many of your useful messages on the internet.

In Chapter 11 of Srimad Bhagavat Gita lots of emphasis is placed on devotional service. Through devotional service, we can achieve to understand the Lord Krishna.

What is devotional service Prabhu? I am a devotee who has not taken initiation yet. I wanted to know how can I pursue my devotional service at this stage?

Thank you very much for enlightening me on this matter.

Answer: All Thoughts, Words, and Deeds in Krishna's Service

From: ISKCON Austin, Texas USA

My Dear Jainita Sam,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Devotional service means to engage all of your thoughts, words, and deeds 24/7 in the service of Lord Sri Krishna. This art is learned and mastered from the bona fide spiritual master who engages you in chanting at least 16 rounds daily of the Hare Krishna mantra on japa mala beads while simultaneously strictly avoiding meat eating, illicit sex, intoxication, and gambling. The devotee only eats vegetarian foods which have been
offered to Lord Sri Krishna with love and devotion, and as far as possible he spends all of his time away from his job in reading scripture, chanting Hare Krishna, and telling others about Krishna.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
