Question: How to Chant Japa?

Hare Krishna
Millions of pranams (obeisances) to you for your leading mankind to eternity. I have the deepest urge that you will accept me as your disciple.
You have mentioned to chant japa to 16 rounds per day. My urge is to know how many times should I chant the holy name for each round.

The entire Hare Krishna mantra, which is:

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

हरे कृष्ण हरे कृष्ण कृष्ण कृष्ण हरे हरे ||
हरे राम हरे राम राम राम हरे हरे||

is chanted 108 times on each round. The japa beads have 108 beads for
chanting and one head bead, which is not for chanting. So you chant one Hare Krishna mantra on each bead except for the head bead.

What the video does not show is that when you go the 2nd round you turn the beads around go in the reverse direction not crossing the head bead. This is done after you finish each round.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
