Gross Mismanagment

When the government leaders are not Krishna conscious the citizens will suffer like anything from mismanagement. Just like here upon our arrival in South Africa there were no luggage carts in the airport arrivals area. And now here even at at top class hotel our door is broken and the refrigerator does not work. To top it all off as I write these words there is a power failure. We are here in a dark room with no light. We cannot worship Sri Sri Radha Damodar because there is no hot water to bathe them and no light to see them sufficiently to dress them properly. It is only because I have battery power in my computer (which is now down to 25%) that I am able to write these words. Plus I am have been informed by one of my South African disciples that these power failures can go on for as long as eight hours. In Vedic culture there is no such mismanagement because qualified pure devotee brahmanas guide the administrators, who are also devotees, how to govern in such a way that everyone has full facility to awaken their dormant Krishna consciousness. We pray in the dark for that day when the world will have the light of Krishna conscious leaders.

How to turn on the prayer wheel 24 hours daily?

If i am not this body, how to give it up?

Should I ask somebody else any questions about spiritual life? The reason I ask that they can tell different things than you or minimize your importance.

Answer: Constantly Chant and Beg for Bhakti

All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Constantly chant Hare Krishna and beg Krishna to make you His pure devotee. If you can't do this 24 hours day, do this for 23 hours and 59 minutes per day. It can't do that, do it for 23 hours and 58 minutes per day, etc, etc. In this way train your mind how to always be connected with Krishna.

By the laws of nature at any moment you may be forced by death to give up your present body. So you should philosophically detach yourself from it right now. Simply use it as an instrument to serve Krishna.

If others advise you differently from the bona fide spiritual master, do not take their advice. You should only take your guidance from the bona fide spiritual master and from those who instruct you in the same way that he does.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
