Question: How to Find a Bona Fide Guru?
How can a person find a right guru (bonafide) in this age where so much duplicity and cheating tendency is predominant. In comparison to Vedic times now to select any guru or a disciple is totally changed. Even more I feel shocked to see new ways which brought by ISKCON GBC which it decide guru and disciples relationship, rather than guru and disciple themselves. How authorized is this process? Please forgive me if I offend this system. Please enlighten in this aspect.

Answer: Find the One Who is Strictly Following His Guru
From: Kaunas, LithuaniaMy Dear Harish,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
The Guru/Disciple relationship is defined in the Vedic literatures. The GBC supports this principle. The bona fide guru is the one who does not deviate even slightly from the instructions of the previous acharya. So find that devotee who is purely presenting Srila Prabhupad's teachings with no additions and subtractions. Fully surrender unto him accepting him as your eternal spiritual master. This will be your success of your eternal existence.
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
Your ever well-wisher,
