Real Religion is the Perfection of Psychology

Recently one of our subscribers cancelled his subscription to our e-course stating that he was looking for a psychological approach to self-realization rather than a religious approach. Our reader failed to comprehend that genuine religion is the perfection of psychology. While we can understand someone's being disgusted with the multitude of pseudo religions being forced upon the ignorant people of the world, rejecting genuine religion is just as ignorant as accepting pseudo religion.

So how is it that genuine religion is the perfection of psychology? This I will now explain.

Actual religion means to reconnect with the source of one's existence. Just as an electrical appliance must be plugged into the electrical power house in order to function, we psychologically require to be connected with the source of our existence in order the properly function. That connecting process is love. It is a psychological fact that without love no one can be happy. The perfection of psychology is to have a perfect loving relationship with that Supreme Person who is the source of all existence. Therefore the perfection of psychology and the perfection of religion is one and the same.

So I hope that our confused former subscriber will realize his mistake and rejoin our course. We have written him as seen below in the Answers section.

Answer: The Perfection of Psychology

Dear Tichafara,

Please accept my greetings.

One who understands that the perfection of psychology is to fully reconnect and thus dovetail one's individual self with the Supreme Self, who is the source of all existence, understands that in the true sense of the term religious perfection and psychological perfection are one and the same. Considering this if you would like to give our course a second chance, let us know and we will re-enroll you.

Thank you for your sincerity.

Sincerely,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
