Killing Cows Turns Our World into a Slaughterhouse




When we are little babies we start off getting our much needed nutrition by drinking our mother's breast milk. Then when we grow up a little bit we get nourished by drinking the breast milk our second mother, the cow. Just as we would never think of killing our mother, we should also not think of killing our second mother, the cow. But yet in our modern day civilization this is what is going on, wholesale slaughter of our mother, the cow. This must now be stopped! The karmic reaction of cow killing is producing so much war and violence. When we send our mother to the slaughterhouse, we turn the whole world into a slaughterhouse. Just like now we see in the news that there are many ghastly shootings every day in which many people are being killed. This is a direct karmic reaction because of cow killing. If these foolish rascals will simply stop killing the cows, the entire atmosphere on this planet will wonderfully change. Make that day come soon! May that day come soon!

The secret of becoming wealthy is to engage whatever wealth you have now (no matter how meager) 100% in the service of God. When you do this sincerely, God will be very pleased with you and will give you more
wealth to engage in His service. In fact, this technique is so powerful that if you sincerely practice it, you will become the wealthiest businessman in the whole world. The difficulty is that instead of engaging our wealth in the Lord's service we spend it for sense gratification. Therefore we remain poor.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
