Divine Intoxication
A Krishna conscious person easily avoids all forms of intoxication, such as alcohol, tobacco, coffee, tea, LSD, and marijuana, because he experiences a far superior form of intoxication by chanting the holy names of Krishna or God. In other words, Krishna consciousness is not tasteless or dry. It is full of unlimited oceans of nectar. Why waste your time and energy in pursuits that will oblige you to take birth again in this material world when you can enjoy the highest pleasure right now and qualify yourself for entering into the kingdom of God when you leave your present body?

I am incessantly thinking of you and waiting for you to come back to India. I have never felt like this for anyone not even for any of my relatives! Please tell me, dear Gurudeva, what should I do?
Your humble servant,

"To feel separation from the spiritual master or Krishna is very good position. That means one who is in pure love with Krishna and His representative, spiritual master, he thinks always of them. And this thinking process is Krishna consciousness. If we can think always of Krishna even in separation, that is Krishna consciousness. And in the absolute platform, there is no difference of separation and meeting. The separation is also meeting, rather in separation one relishes the loving relationship more tasty. So don't be disappointed that you are separated from me, I am also always thinking of you how you are making progress there.”

Therefore you should continue feeling like this more and more. This will be the perfection of your consciousness.
