Sweet Memories of Loving Exchanges in Lithuania

By the time you read this we will be in Tallinn, Estonia relishing the nectar of Krishna consciousness with the devotees there. But within our hearts we will always especially savor the sweet memories of the wonderful Krishna conscious moments we shared with the devotees in Lithuania. Krishna consciousness is not impersonal. It's based on having a loving relationship with Krishna and His devotees. Therefore the more we have loving exchanges with Krishna's devotees, the more our love for Krishna is awakened.

During a recent Srimad Bhagavatam class (SB 10.1.17) you mentioned about a devotee who didn't want to listen and accept advices or teachings from other devotees except Srila Prabhupada. If I correctly understood, Srila Prabhupada rejected him because he was not in the right mood ? Dear Srila Gurudeva, could you please kindly explain to me how the whole world could be delivered? There are so many people in the wrong mood even me. Please, help me to understand.

The so-called devotee was so critical and puffed up that he did not even want to follow Srila Prabhupada, what to speak of following Srila Prabhupada's disciples. So it was actually he who was rejecting Srila Prabhupada, not Srila Prabhupada rejecting him.

It is possible for the world civilization to become Krishna conscious and for there to still some people who are not on the highest standard. For example, we read in the Srimad Bhagavatam that even in Krishna’s ideal city of Dvaraka 5,000 years ago there were prostitutes so that low class men could satisfy their lusty desires without polluting the chaste women.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
