Re-Establishing Vedic Culture on Planet Earth

Our mission is to re-establish Vedic culture on our heavily beleaguered planet earth. We say re-establish because before 5,000 years ago both culturally and politically Vedic culture was the predominant way of life here. In other words our mission is to totally revolutionize the human society, to spark off an unparalled renaissance, the greatest paradigm shift in the history of the universe. Even though, considering the present day world situation, such an idea seems utopian or even completely insane, we are confident that sooner or later such a complete world transformation will occur because it is predicted in the Caitanya Caritamrita. So, there is no question of if it will happen. The only question is when it will happen. Whether it will happen sooner or later depends on us, how pure we are and intelligent we are to propagate the Krishna consciousness movement in the most effective and powerful way without in any way compromising its principles, as is sometimes proposed by those who are of weak faith or less intelligent. If we water down the Krishna consciousness movement, it will no longer be the Krishna consciousness movement. It will eventually simply be another edition of the nonsense so-called religions which are grossly misleading and cheating the ignorant masses today. Therefore we must be careful not to turn ISKCON into a fool's paradise.

Answer: Remembering Lord Caitanya Makes It Easy

It is stated in the Caitanya Caritamrita (Adi 14.1):

"Things that are very difficult to do become easy to execute if one somehow or other simply remembers Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu. But if one does not remember Him, even easy things become very difficult."

If you will sincerely follow this advice, all of your difficulties will melt away into transcendental bliss.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
