The way the world is heading is such a disgrace.
There's nothing left to do now but to revolutionize this place.

That revolution is the wide scale distribution of the teachings of Lord Sri Krishna. His teachings will be effective in revolutionizing the entire universe because every living entity in this material world is actually a servant of Krishna. Simply they have forgotten it. That's all. And when they remember it they will be restored to their original state of harmony with God, the very source of their existence, and with all other living beings. And then as more and more people realize who they actually are, the eternal servants of Krishna, this material world will be completely transcendentalized. It will become as good as the kingdom of God.

Why are the Vedas projected by ISKCON only as being karma-kanda (promoting material progress)? The Vedas have an ocean of knowledge including bhakti, devotional service the Supreme Lord. There is a conception that ISKCON presents the Vedas only as karma-kanda.

Answer: This is Your Misconception

Your conception that we only describe the Vedas as promoting material advancement (karma kanda) is your misconception. If you will carefully study our teachings, you will see that while we do warn people to avoid those portions of the Vedas which encourage one in material sense gratification, we also encourage people to follow the essence of the Vedic wisdom, which is to come back to the association of the Supreme Personality of Godhead in His most sublime transcendental abode.

If one approaches the Vedas for material advancement, he will certainly be sidetracked from the self-realization path. On the other hand, if he approaches the Vedas for the knowledge of how to be delivered from the cycle of birth and death, he will be successful in being liberated.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
