Attracting the Whole World to Krishna

At the present moment the entire world is in an extremely chaotic condition due to one thing and one thing only, a chronic lack of Krishna consciousness. Therefore because we want everyone to be happy our mission is to attract the entire world to Krishna. We cannot tolerate seeing them in such a miserable situation. Therefore we have fully dedicated our lives for bringing about a complete re-spiritualization of the entire human society and are therefore diligently seeking the ways and means of attracting the whole world to Krishna.

Question: Was Gita Given Mentally to Arjuna, Not Orally?

I have a doubt. Bhagavad-gita was spoken by Lord Sri Krishna to Arjuna on a battlefield after all the warriors blew their respective conch shells, signaling the start of war. Wouldn't Duryodhana, being so cruel minded, have attacked Arjuna while he was talking to Krishna? When I asked some people about this, they told me that Krishna didn't speak the Bhagavad-gita orally, but He mentally transferred the Bhagavad-gita to Arjuna and Srila Vyasadeva wrote it down for us. Is this true? I'm confused about this and am unable to understand what exactly happened.

Please enlighten me,
Madu

Answer: Gita Says Uvaca, Which Means Spoken.

If you listen to mental speculators, you will naturally be confused. And if you hear only from self-realized souls you will have a clear, solid understanding of the Bhagavad-gita. This idea that Krishna did not speak the Bhagavad-gita out loud is patently absurd. The Sanskrit word used in the Bhagavad-gita "uvaca" means that Krishna spoke or uttered out loud the Bhagavad-gita. If the Bhagavad-gita had been transmitted only by mental telepathy, the Bhagavad-gita would have said so. To assume something which is different from what it is clearly directly stated is the business of less intelligent fools.

Another point is that the people you asked obviously do not understand the codes of chivalry that were practiced by the ksatriyas during the Vedic times. During the day, the Pandavas and Kurus would fight with the utmost strength, and when the day was over they would go to each other's camps as friends and be received as such. During such friendly meetings, one enemy would offer anything the other enemy wanted. That was the system. In such an atmosphere there was no difficulty for Krishna to speak the Bhagavad-gita before the actual fighting began.
