Thank you for your nice questions regarding psychotherapy and the solution for low self esteem. The first point to be understood is that Krishna consciousness is the original pure form of psychotherapy. Any form of psychotherapy which does not connect the patient with his actual identity as an eternal spiritual being is flawed and cannot bring one to actual happiness.

Real self esteem is to know and celebrate who you really are: the pure, spirit-soul, eternal servant of Krishna. Therefore the only method for genuinely improving self esteem is to chant the Hare Krishna mantra as much as possible. People suffer from low self esteem because they mistakenly consider themselves to be a bag of flesh and bones that is fated to die. What a low way to think about oneself!

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
