Stay Connected with Krishna Always
There is no permanent shelter here in this material world. Even those things which give us a sense of exhilaration and upliftment can only do so temporarily and can provide no long lasting or permanent relief from the gnawing anxieties of life in the material world, namely birth, death, old age, and disease. There is indeed only one permanent solution for the tribulations that vex the soul of man: to stay connected with Krishna always. And there is no better way to do that than chanting Hare Krishna.

In this material world there are dangers everywhere. One of the difficulties we have to face is disease. When the body is suffering from any type of illness we should go to the doctor. Can I read the Nrsimha Kavacha to ask the Lord for his protection? To be able to carry out our daily sadhana bhakti we need to be physically and mentally fit. If not, we cannot concentrate fully.
Secondly I wanted to know how to deal with the different types of obstacles which come forward on the path of devotional service. Sometimes we lose hope, we feel tired of the wandering mind and cannot concentrate on sadhana bhakti. How to make ourselves strong to be able to deal with the adversities of this material world?
Lastly how to deal with criticism from non devotees?
From a fallen soul,

See every so-called obstacle as a stepping stone to help you advance further along the path of bhakti.
Regarding criticism from non-devotees there is an appropriate Bengali proverb: The dogs will bark, but the caravan will pass. In other words you should be callous to the criticisms of the non-devotees and carry on with your service to Krishna and guru with uninterrupted enthusiasm in all circumstances.

Answer: Go to Doctor and Pray for Love of God
When you get sick go to a doctor. Chanting Vedic mantras is for awakening love of God within the heart, not for material benefits.See every so-called obstacle as a stepping stone to help you advance further along the path of bhakti.
