Mindless Idiot Leaders Spoiling the World

Now more than ever we see how much the world leaders have become mindless idiots who are completely spoiling the human civilization taking it down to a level that is lower than the animal kingdom. They are polluting the air, rivers and oceans and also polluting our brains by promoting the disgraceful degradation of the human society as progress. Yes, it is certainly progress. But progress towards what? Progress towards hell. Someone may object that such criticism of the world leaders is not Krishna consciousness. But the Srimad Bhagavatam is making such criticism.

teṣāṁ kupatha-deṣṭṝṇāṁ
patatāṁ tamasi hy adhaḥ
ye śraddadhyur vacas te vai
majjanty aśma-plavā iva

"Leaders who have fallen into ignorance and who mislead people by directing them to the path of destruction are, in effect, boarding a stone boat, and so too are those who blindly follow them. A stone boat would be unable to float and would sink in the water with its passengers. Similarly, those who mislead people go to hell, and their followers go with them." (SB 6.7.14)

How do such verses help our Krishna consciousness? They help us to protect ourselves from the deluding influence of the world's so-called leaders and remain instead under the guidance and inspiration of the bona fide spiritual masters, who are the real, qualified leaders of the human society.

Question: How to Conquer Lack of Enthusiasm?

I'd like to know how to increase my interest in Krishna. When I am trying to remember available options I have heard and make plans to increase my enthusiasm, my mind always answers that it all has been tried (attending Mangala Arati, listening to lectures of devotees, reading Prabhupada's books etc). Moreover it has strong arguments that if I am going to follow any of those options in spite of my mind not liking them, the mind will only increase its resistance, so that next time will be even harder. Is there any option that You would suggest in such case?

Sincerely,
J.D.

Answer: The Best Mental Ice Breaker

The best mental ice breaker is to chant at least 16 rounds of Hare Krishna japa mala every day without fail before sunrise. The mind will naturally resist because it is your worst enemy. But once you become habituated to chanting like this every day before sunrise your mind will become your best friend and resist anything that threatens to diminish or destroy your Krishna consciousness.
