Cow Eaters Will Be Eaten by the Cows They Ate

The Sanskrit word for flesh is māṁsa. Mām means me, and sa means he. So it is literally "me he." This means me eating he and then me being eaten by he. The animal whose flesh I am enjoying now will in the future enjoy eating my flesh. Thus, those who are intelligent give up the nasty habit of meat eating. Especially condemned is eating the flesh of the cow. She is the most gentle animal who nourishes our bodies with her milk,

In this connection Srila Prabhupada explains in his purport to Sri Caitanya Caritamrita, Madhya Lila, Chapter 24, Text 252:

The Sanskrit word māṁsa means ”meat.” It is said, māṁ saḥ khadati iti māṁsaḥ. That is, ”I am now eating the flesh of an animal who will some day in the future be eating my flesh.”

Also, in this connection we find in the Bible, "As you sow, so shall you reap." And in the laws of physics we find, "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."

This is why those who are intelligent give up meat eating and take to a life of only eating Krishna prasadam, vegetarian foods offered to Lord Sri Krishna with love and devotion.

In conclusion here is what Srila Prabhupada wrote to Alfred Ford in a letter from Los Angeles on 16 July 1974:

"Now this question may be raisdeed why are so many cows being killed in the slaughterhouse. The answer is that those who are killing cows, according to the decision of karma kanda, these killers of cows will in the next life be cows, and the cows who are killed will become men and kill the killers. The word flesh is called mansa which means the animal in future will kill me and eat. This is called karma bandhanam, bound up by the laws of karma. If you kill some living being, he will kill you in the next life."

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
