Srila Prabhupada writes as follows in the preface to The Nectar of Devotion:

"The Nectar of Devotion will teach us how to turn the one switch that will immediately brighten everything, everywhere. One who does not know this method is missing the point of life."

Just as by flipping a light an entire room becomes brightened, similarly when we follow the guidelines given in The Nectar of Devotion the entire world becomes illuminated because we will be able to experience Krishna everywhere.

Prabhu, out of the nine stages of bhakti, how does one come to the 1st stage or sraddha (faith)? How to preach to people so that they develop sraddha?

Also, what can be an ideal roadmap to reach Kṛṣṇa?
Please help this servant of yours to progress in Kṛṣṇa consciousness.

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

We develop faith by hearing submissively hearing from the bona fide spiritual master. And then when you have sraddha (faith) by your preaching and by your association those that you preach to will have an awakening of faith within their hearts. Everyone has faith in God already there within their hearts. Simply it is sleeping right now. But by coming into contact with a devotee that dormant faith becomes awakened.

The ideal road map to Krishna consciousness is given in Srila Prabhupada’s book The Nectar of Devotion. Please read it carefully and regularly.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in a cheerful mood.

My Spiritual Journey in a Nutshell

As an American youth I was taught to believe in the. "American dream": Study hard, get a good education and a good job to get a good wife some good kids in a good house to enjoy a good life. But when I got to college, I realized that this was not enough. I wanted to know what the meaning of life is, but no one could tell me. So, I took to the path of self-realization and was blessed in 1968 with the Hare Krishna mantra and the worship of Radha and Krishna. (I did not know about ISKCON.) This inspired me to drop out of college and renounce the world to become a holy beggar in India. But on the way to India, I realized that to renounce everything I had to ultimately renounce renunciation itself and accept something transcendental Thus I embraced the mission of delivering the world from chaos. For this purpose, I adopted the life a singer/songwriter who in 1969 became recognized and very much appreciated. In 1971, seeking spiritual perfection, I followed the example of Lord Jesus Christ and prayed to God how I could become His perfect servant. Then God revealed to me path of pure Krishna bhakti as taught by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami. On the most auspicious day of 12 August 1971, he accepted me as his disciple. Now on his order and under his most expert guidance I have fully devoted my life for awakening pure love of God within my heart and for making the entire world Krishna conscious.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
