We Were First Born as a Lord Brahma

We were originally in the spiritual world. But when we became envious of the Supreme Lord wanting to be God Krishna facilitated our desire to let us be the god of a universe. This is confirmed by Srila Prabhupada in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam, 9th Canto, Chapter 24, Text 58 as follows:

Both the Lord and the living entity, being qualitatively spirit soul, have the tendency for peaceful enjoyment, but when the part of the Supreme Personality of Godhead unfortunately wants to enjoy independently, without Kṛṣṇa, he is put into the material world, where he begins his life as Brahmā and is gradually degraded to the status of an ant or a worm in stool.

But we were not happy as a Brahma. So, we kept trying to be happy in this species and that species trying to find our desired happiness even down to the point of being a worm in stool. But we never found happiness being away from our home in the spiritual world. So let us stop our foolish wandering by taking advantage of the mercy of guru and Krishna for going back to home, back to Godhead.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
